REGULAR MEETING

 

                The Fairbank City Council met in Regular Session on Monday, February 9, 2009.  Mayor Welsh called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance.  Members present: Kayser, Frost, Shields and Woods.  Absent: Mangrich.  Also present: Dave Ryan, Public Works Director; Heather Prendergast, City Attorney; B. J. Sackett, Police Chief and Marlene Strempke, City Clerk.

                Motion by Frost, second by Woods to approve the agenda as presented.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Frost, Woods, Shields and Kayser.  Nays: None.

                Motion by Woods, second by Frost to approve the Minutes of the January 23rd Regular Meeting.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Woods, Frost, Kayser and Shields.  Nays: None.

                Motion by Kayser, second by Shields to approve the Treasurer’s Report.  Receipts for the month of January were: General $10,406.27, Special Revenue $16,669.99, TIF $271.00, Enterprise Funds $145,184.87 and Interest on Investments $1,407.21. Disbursements were $224,800.68.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Kayser, Shields, Frost and Woods.  Nays: None

                Brian Schoon from INRCOG was present to discuss the update on the Hazard Mitigation Plan and the new requirements from FEMA. Motion by Kayser, second by Frost to proceed with the NOI to update the Hazard Mitigation Plan.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Kayser, Frost, Shields and Woods.  Nays: None.

                Motion by Shields, second by Kayser to approve the Application for Renewal of Liquor License for Fairbank Food Center.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Shields, Kayser, Frost and Woods.  Nays: None.

                Motion by Woods, second by Frost to set the date for the Public Hearing for the FY2010 Budget for Monday, February 23, 2009 at 6:05 P.M. at City Hall.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Woods, Frost, Kayser and Shields.  Nays: None.

                Motion by Woods, second by Frost to pay the bills as presented with adjustment of Butler County REC to actual when received.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Woods, Frost, Shields and Kayser.  Nays: None.
