SPECIAL MEETING

 

                The Fairbank City Council met in Special Session on Wednesday, January 18, 2006.  In the absence of Mayor Welsh, Ron Woods called the meeting to order at 6:15 P.M.  Members present:  Frost, Woods, Shields and Mangrich.  Absent: Kayser.  Also present:  Dave Ryan, Assistant Utility Superintendent and Marlene Strempke, City Clerk.

                Motion by Frost, second by Mangrich to approve the agenda as presented.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Frost, Mangrich and Shields.  Nays: None.

                Paul Anton was present representing Fairbank Development Corporation. He had a breakdown on the projected costs and the sources of revenue.  He also reported on his meeting with Rick Whalen of Butler County REC.  The decision on whether to proceed will be made at the next regular council meeting.  The figures he gave were incorporated into the budget workshop, which followed. 

                Mayor Welsh arrived at 7:00 P.M.

                Councilman Kayser arrived at 7:12 P.M.

                During the budget workshop, each department was evaluated and changes were proposed.  These changes were incorporated and a revised budget will be on the next agenda.

                Motion by Kayser, second by Mangrich to adjourn at 9:25 P.M.  Roll call vote—Ayes: Kayser, Mangrich, Frost, Shields and Woods.  Nays: None.
