REGULAR
MEETING
The Fairbank City Council met in Regular Session on Monday, January 22, 2007.
Mayor Welsh called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. Members present:
Woods, Shields and Mangrich. Absent: Frost and Kayser. Also present:
B.J. Sackett, Police Chief; Ted Vorwald, Utility Superintendent; Dave Ryan,
Assistant Public Works Director; Gary Ott, Maintenance Technician and Marlene
Strempke, City Clerk.
Motion by Shields, second by Mangrich to approve the agenda as presented.
Roll call vote—Ayes: Shields, Mangrich and Woods. Nays: None.
Motion by Mangrich, second by Woods to approve the minutes of the January 8th
Regular Meeting. Roll call vote—Ayes: Mangrich, Woods and Shields.
Nays: None.
Motion by Mangrich, second by Shields to approve payment request # 2 to Denver
Underground & Grading, Inc. for $25,165.98. Roll call vote—Ayes:
Mangrich, Shields and Woods. Nays: None.
Motion by Woods, second by Shields to hire Cory Hartmann as a part-time patrol
officer at $11.59 per hour. Roll call vote—Ayes: Woods, Shields and
Mangrich. Nays: None.
Motion by Mangrich, second by Woods to recertify Mike Athey at a cost of
$150.00. Roll call vote—Ayes: Mangrich, Woods, and Shields. Nays:
None.
The decision on the payment of the gas line to the industrial park was postponed
until more information on the financing is available.
The preliminary numbers for the FY 2008 budget were discussed. There will
be a work session on Wednesday, January 31st at 6:00 P.M. to continue
to work on the budget.
Motion by Mangrich, second by Shields to adjourn at 8:10 P.M. Roll call
